Kei Kamara Steps Away From International Football With Sierra Leone:

One of Sierra Leones most prominent and the first Sierra Leonean footballer to score a goal at a british premiere league, Kei Kamara, has announced that he is stepping away from playing for the national team (Leone Stars)
In an interview with BBC Sports ,the Leone stars forward state that his reason for leaving the team is because the Sierra Leone FA is treating its players unfairly and without respect.

In response ,SLFA Vice president Brima Mazola Kamara denied Kei's claims and said that Kei is only talking for himself and though his decision is untimely "they can cope without him".

Kei Kamara who has been with the Leone stars team for 7 years, has been described as one of the calmest, most dedicated and devoted players in the team, so it was a shock to many when he issued this statement on his personal profile which read: " As an athlete representing your country is the biggest achievement you can earn.

"So it is very sad for me to announce that i will be stepping away from the national team (Leone Stars)indefinitely.

"Thank you to every Sierra Leonean that have supported my career. I wish to one day put on te green white and blue again.
"wishing the boys all the best in the upcoming games. I love you Mama Salone"

And to that we say, this is not goodbye but see you later. His leaving is definitely a big blow to the team's development
