Bassey Backs #D3 Campaign:

Sierra Leonean actor and socialite Michael Bonny Bassey is the latest celebrity  to lend his face to the Don’t Drive Drunk #D3Campaign .

The D3 Campaign is a brainchild of the current Mr University Africa, Yemi Kings and it is aimed at sensitising the Nigerian public on the dangers of drunk driving which is one of the leading causes of automobile accidents in the country . 

So far he has gained the support of many Nigerian actors& actresses  who have used their status to "Spread the word".

With Sierra Leone also facing  similar drink driving problems, we hope fellow celebrities will follow in Bassey's footsteps and get on board with the campaign.

 Speaking to popular Nigerian blog reporter, Yemi said

"My intention is to garner support to sponsor a private legislative bill aimed at curbing drunk driving through DUI tests of motorists and to provide the Road safety Commission with the required technology to curb this menace. We have lost so many colleagues in the industry and its time we step up and act"... 

Bassey  we hope you can lead the way and spread the  #D3 message in to Sierra Leone.
