Happy World BreastFeeding Week | MAMAYE SL | Vickie Remoe Breast Feeding Awareness on Social media | #WBW16

The World Breastfeeding Week 2016 theme is about how breastfeeding is a key element in getting us to think about how to value our wellbeing from the start of life, how to respect each other and care for the world we share.

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is an annual celebration which is being held every year from 1 - 7 August in more than 120 countries.

In Sierra Leone survey show that only 32% of infants are breastfed exclusively up to 6months.
This year MamaYe, an organisation that campaigns for live saving changes for Africa’s mothers and babies, has produced an infographic to share the evidence on how breastfeeding saves lives!
This infographic encourages mothers to breastfeed their babies consistently from birth, bringing their children, and themselves, the many life-enhancing benefits that go with this very natural and caring act.

To kick off this week of awareness, breast feeding advocate,Vickie Remoe, posted this breastfeeding video (below) with her son Olu yesterday on her Instagram account.  Read her full status and advice on her Instagram
